Agents of Change Liberia Hosts Exclusive All-Male Career Empowerment Workshop

Monrovia, Liberia: In a bold effort to empower young men and foster leadership and purpose-driven living, Agents of Change Liberia successfully concluded a one-day workshop titled “An Exclusive All-Male Gathering” in Monrovia.

The held on July 19, 2025, event brought together 50 young Liberians from diverse backgrounds to engage in open, honest, and transformative dialogue around personal growth, career development, and social responsibility.

Held under the theme “Too Young to Feel Stuck,” the gathering focused on equipping participants with practical tools and mindset shifts necessary for navigating the challenges of life and seizing opportunities for personal and professional advancement.

Speaking at the event, Daniel Ankrah, Executive Director of Agents of Change Liberia, emphasized the significance of the workshop in helping young men reimagine their future and commit to building meaningful careers.

He encouraging participants to identify where they are, define who they want to become, and develop the skills necessary to avoid feeling stuck. Additionally, he inspired the young men to embrace growth, take initiatives, and explore diverse career opportunities without losing focus.

“We created this space so that young men could show up unapologetically, reflect, and find practical ways to shape their career paths without losing sight of their core values. Our conversations today are centered on growth, responsibility, and stepping into leadership.”  Ankra said.

He emphasized the critical importance for such program aimed at shaping a brighter and more promising future for young men across the country.

As a self-help program, Ankra announced plans to hold similar engagements in other parts of Liberia, focusing on underserved communities where access to mentorship and career guidance remains limited.

Executive Director Ankra extended heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the participants for recognizing the importance of the workshop and making the effort to attend.

The day-long session featured motivational talks, group discussions, and peer learning moments aimed at nurturing self-confidence, purpose, and resilience.

Danicius Kaihenneh Sengbeh, Manager for Media, Communication, and Public Affairs at the Liberia Revenue Authority, delivered inspiring remarks at the workshop, offering a powerful charge to the young men in attendance.

“You don’t arrive at success by accident. Every opportunity you have is a door to something greater. Believe in your vision, seize your moment, and don’t wait for someone else to validate your worth.” Sengbeh said.

He urged participants to maximize every opportunity in their personal and academic journeys and to cultivate discipline, vision, consistency and qualities essential for leadership and long-term impact.

 “This is a real turning point for me. To hear these powerful stories and advice from people who have walked this path is something I’ll carry with me for a long time.” Said one participant.

The event also the attracted the attention of Montserrado County District Number-6 Representative Samuel Enders who praised Agents of Change Liberia for organizing the event describing it as a major step forward in promoting the development of young men for a better society.

Representative Enders emphasized that such programs are crucial to youth development and play a vital role in nation-building.

Participants expressed deep appreciation for the workshop, describing it as a life-changing moment. Many noted that it was rare to find safe, empowering spaces exclusively designed for men to engage, reflect, and grow without positive decision making mindset.

The gathering is part of a broader initiative by Agents of Change Liberia to provide targeted mentorship and values-based education to young men across the country. The organization’s mission is to raise a generation of responsible citizens, committed fathers, and impactful leaders who are equipped to build stable families and communities.

The exclusive all-male gathering marks another milestone in Agents of Change Liberia’s growing portfolio of youth empowerment programs positioning the group as a key driver of transformational male leadership in Liberia.
