LSEZA, Moroccan Embassy Strengthen Ties to Boost Trade and Investment Opportunities

Monrovia, Liberia: The Executive Chairman of the Liberia Special Economic Zones Authority (LSEZA), Prince Wreh, on Tuesday hosted His Excellency Mr. Lahoucine Rahmouni, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Liberia, along with Counselor Houssain Asrouti of the Moroccan Embassy, to explore new avenues for trade and investment collaboration.

The high-level meeting centered on strengthening bilateral relations between Liberia and Morocco, with a focus on unlocking development and investment opportunities within Liberia’s Special Economic Zones (SEZs).

Discussions highlighted potential partnerships in agriculture, industrialization, trade, and public-private collaborations. Executive Chairman Wreh emphasized Liberia’s readiness to serve as an emerging destination for Moroccan investment, citing the country’s abundant natural resources, vast arable land, and vibrant youthful workforce as key assets for industrial and economic growth.

Ambassador Rahmouni for his part, reaffirmed Morocco’s commitment to expanding cooperation with Liberia and the LSEZA, noting that his government remains dedicated to fostering mutually beneficial partnerships that promote sustainable development and economic diversification.

He commended LSEZA’s leadership for its forward-looking vision and pledged to facilitate engagement between Moroccan investors and Liberian institutions to advance shared economic objectives.

In a symbolic display of friendship, Ambassador Rahmouni was gowned by Executive Chairman Wreh, representing goodwill and the deepening of ties between the two nations. The Ambassador expressed appreciation for the warm hospitality and described the gesture as a meaningful expression of solidarity and respect.
